When we first started we would buy small quantities of used clothing that had been collected by charities and then sold on to large companies that export mainly to countries in Africa and Asia. Then we would sift through the clothing and categorize them into different grades and materials which we would then either sell to other traders or to mills which would grind the clothing down into fibres and re-spin it into upholstery.

This is when we began to reach out internationally to other countries that exported used clothing in large quantities. We bought lots of 80’s Adidas and Puma tracksuits and jackets from Germany which we exported as far away as Japan. At the time retro 70’s style floral shirts, flares and other 70’s fashions were all the range, so we would import them in bulk from USA and then sell them in smaller amounts to traders in the UK. This gave us the idea to open our own shop.

Today we focus primarily on pure cashmere knitwear as this is what we have the highest demand for and occasionally stock woollen sweaters and cardigans from time to time. When the colder weather arrives we attend different shows up and down the country but mainly focus on our online shop as we can reach a much wider audience via the internet.
